What Is Google Earth?
Google Earth is a virtual globe, map and geographical information program that was originally called Earth Viewer 3D. It allows you to view satellite imagery, maps, terrain, 3D buildings, and much more.
It maps the Earth by the superimposition of images obtained from satellite imagery, aerial photography and GIS 3D globe. It is currently available for use on personal computers running Windows 2000 and above, Mac OS X 10.3.9 and above.
- Google Earth is also available as a browser plugin.
With Google Earth's rich, geographical content, you are able to experience a more realistic view of the world. You can fly to your favorite place, search for businesses and even navigate through directions.
New features of Google Earth 6
